Having served for 8 years
as our Youth Pastor, and 4 years as our Associate Pastor,
Paul became our Senior Pastor in October of 1997. He is a
graduate of LIFE Pacific College.
Paul leads our Church and
our Pastoral Leadership Team, but he strongly believes in
team ministry - don't be surprised if you show up on a
weekend and one of the other Pastoral Team is speaking with
Paul soaking up the notes! He so strongly believes in team
ministry that just about everything we do at NewHeart
revolves around it. He wholeheartedly loves "Team NewHeart"!
Paul also serves the
community as a Chaplain with the Simi Valley Police
Department, and it's not uncommon to find him hanging out at
the local Starbucks.
He and his wife, Colleen,
have been married for 24 years, and have two boys, Joshua
(15) and Jonathan (14). You can imagine the activity around
their household! In his spare time, you can find Paul
hanging out with Colleen and the boys, or chasing a little
white ball around what some call a golf course.

Jennifer became a part of our
NewHeart family in the Fall of 2008 and is a 2009 Graduate
of Azusa Pacific University, where she earned her Bachelor's
Degree in Music with an emphasis in Church Music and a minor
in Communications. She is a "Pastor's Kid", having been
raised in a ministry home, and carries a passion for Jesus
and leading His Church in worship.
Jennifer is

developing our Worship Teams and coordinating all of our
Worship efforts.

Todd and his wife,
Lanette, have been a part of the NewHeart family for a few
years now, along with their children, Toby & Lindsey. Todd currently works as the Director of
Development for The Rescue Mission Alliance in Oxnard.
As our TEACH Ministries
Director, Todd oversees the ministries that have to do with
helping people grow in their walk with Jesus. From our
"Building Bigger Hearts" Growth Track to any classes that
aid people in their spiritual growth, Todd is the guy to
see.
With past experience as
a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and Church Planter/Senior
Pastor, Todd also serves NewHeart as one of our Teaching
Pastors. You'll also see him on a regular basis playing the
bass on our Worship Team.

Dave & Rhonda have been a
vital part of the life of our church since 2000, and they
share a heart to TOUCH people with God's Love (ministry),
which is one of our four purposes as a church. That's why
they serve as our TOUCH Ministries Directors, coordinating
and facilitating all aspects of this facet of our church's
purpose.
Dave & Rhonda have two
daughters. April (who is married to Nick, a US Marine) and
Rheanna, a LIFE Pacific College student. Dave is a Certified
Biblical Counsellor with the AACC (American Association of
Christian Counsellors). Together, Dave & Rhonda regularly
minister in this gifting with those inside the NewHeart
family, as well as many in the community.

Martha-Dale grew up in our
church! Her family started attending NewHeart when she was
two years old. She previously
served as our Children's Ministries Director for many years,
and continues to be a regular volunteer with out kids.
Currently, she is a Substitute
Teacher at several schools in Simi Valley.
As our TELL Ministries
Director, Martha-Dale coordinates all of our church-wide
outreaches.

Angie previously served two
years as our Children's Ministries Director.
Her husband, Mike, is a teacher at Simi Valley High School.
They have two girls.
Angie currently serves as
our Administrator & Volunteer Coordinator. As Administrator,
she oversees the administrative aspects of church life. As
Volunteer Coordinator, she helps connect people with the
right ministries. She also leads our "Team Levite", the
volunteer crew that keeps our facilities sparkling clean!

Leslie Hertweck, Children's Ministries
Director

Leslie has recently taken on the role of
Children's Ministries Director at NewHeart. Her husband,
John, is a math teacher at Monroe High School and they have
three children -- Ethan, Gabriel, and Hannah.
Leslie graduated from Vanguard University
in 2000 with a degree in Communications and Broadcast
Journalism. While this is her first time as a Children's
Ministries Director, she and John have invested their lives
in teaching children at their previous church.

Pete and his wife, Kathy, have
been a part of NewHeart since 1982. They've raised all three
of their kids here. Pete has been involved in Youth Ministry
for most of the time since 1986.

Laura and her husband, Jim, have served in
Youth Ministry for many years. They have two grown sons. In
October of 2007, after serving for quite some time as part
of our Youth Team, Laura stepped into the role of Youth Ministries Director.
In the Fall of 2008, we split our groups into Middle School
and High School, and Laura continues to now serve as our
High School Director.

Mario & Pat have been a
part of NewHeart's life for several years and share a
heartbeat for Intercessory Prayer and caring for the
spiritual and personal needs of people. They are truly
a "Mom" and "Pop" in the faith!
Mario & Pat are
available to meet with anyone needing encouragement, wisdom,
or prayer at the Church Office on Thursdays from 9:00 am to
3:00 pm.

Shurie keeps things moving
around the office. You'll hear her voice on the phone
and are sure to be encouraged when

Shurie
also manages our
NewHeart Resources Library, which is open between and after
our Sunday Celebrations and on Wednesday evenings. Her
husband, Charles, can be found on the drums during Worship
on many Sundays.

John has been a part of our
staff in various capacities, and currently serves as a
member of our Teaching Team.
Full-time, he is President of
"Over
The Top Ministries", a
non-profit organization dedicated to helping people find the
way to living over the top of their circumstances.
Over The Top sees John travelling and
speaking in camps, schools and churches across the country.
John and his wife, Wendy,
have three children - Shaina, Hannah, and Nicole. The Cox's were blessed to
be the third family to receive a totally remodelled home
from the new ABC show, "Extreme
Makeover: Home Edition" in January of
2004!
